Recently we’ve had cause to celebrate following a spate of publications among our current students and recent graduates.
The spring edition of SAGE-ING, the Candaian-based Journal of Creative Ageing, will include several poems by recent Masters graduate Vivian Garner. The poems are taken from Vivian’s Masters thesis, Firewalking, a collection of poetry exploring themes of aging and the search for meaning.
Graduate Diploma student Claire-Louise Watson will soon launch her first book – Fingerprints of Grace, a memoir of God’s grace focussing on Claire’s journey with her daughter, Hannah, who had Leigh disease.
Please join Claire and Dr Rosanne Hawke for the launch on April 28th, 2pm at 17a Fletcher Rd Mt Barker SA.
We’ve also heard of a number of other students with books due out later this year through Stone Table Books. We look forward to sharing the details with you in the months ahead. Meanwhile, congratulations to Matthew, Vivian and Claire! It’s fantastic to celebrate your success and to see our writing program bear such good fruit!
