About ‘Tales’

Tales coverSince 2005 the Tabor Adelaide Creative Writing Program has produced an annual anthology of poetry and prose. The purpose of Tales from the Upper Room is to showcase the writing of students and staff associated with the program, to create an anthology that is diverse in style and subject matter, and to give previously unpublished writers a chance to see their work in print.

The title of the anthology refers partly to the upper room from scripture, but also to the meeting place of the original student writing group at Tabor, Literati. The upper room (or Loft) of the Tabor Adelaide Millswood campus is still depicted in the anthology cover logo.

To read some sample poetry and prose from previous editions, or for information on how to contribute to Tales and how to purchase the anthology, see the other pages under this heading.
